Turn your iPhone into a wireless mouse and keyboard for your Mac
Getting Started
Setup is simple:
- Install PhoneMouse on both your iPhone and Mac
- Make sure both devices are on the same WiFi network
- Open the app on your Mac first (it will appear in your menu bar)
- Open the app on your iPhone
- Tap your Mac's name to connect
- Start moving your cursor!
Two Control Modes
Gyro Mode: Move your phone in the air like a magic wand to control the cursor. Best for presentations and pointing from across the room (hold phone upright).
Trackpad Mode: Use your phone's screen as a wireless trackpad. Best for precise control and close-range use (hold phone horizontally).
Common Issues
Can't see my Mac in the iPhone app?
- Ensure both devices are on the same WiFi network
- Check that the Mac app is running (look for the mouse icon in your menu bar)
- Try closing and reopening both apps
- Restart your WiFi router if needed
Connection keeps dropping?
- Move closer to your WiFi router
- Check that your Mac isn't going to sleep
- Ensure "Low Power Mode" is off on your iPhone

Mac: macOS 15.0 or later, Apple Silicon or Intel processor

Permissions
PhoneMouse requests the following permissions:
Motion & Orientation: To use your phone's gyroscope for cursor control in Gyro Mode
Local Network Access: To connect your iPhone to your Mac over WiFi or Bluetooth
These permissions are used solely for the app's functionality. No data from these sensors is ever stored or transmitted outside your devices.
